my personal favorite game. the game that i keep playing until now, just because of the story alone. this is the only game i still kept in my device, solely just to play the story. is it a good gacha rpg game? i'll say not really,b ut is the story worth? absolutely.
well, enough chit chat, this is my review for this game, based on my personal experience.
Story
one example of a true peak story. this game's story is one of the best story i've ever seen in my gaming life. it's so good that i cant let myself stop playing it even the game as a gacha game is not that great. but they exceed as a visual novel game.
the story start with us(player) act as a new ceo of a company with long history. we can differ the main cast as mc(main character aka player) and protagonist(the main cast that are playable). it started kinda generic, but the more we know about the world, you will be flabbergasted by it. uh... im sorry if it sounds too exaggerated to you. it's just how much i love the story of this game. you cant say it's that unique, but they really done it well, that in some turn, you wont expect it that it will develop into that kind of story. it has some generic premise, even there's a demon lord concept in this game(sorry, spoiler).
what i really like in this game is, in the story, the mc(player) is significant to the plot. mc is a strategist person, a manipulator, always pull the string in the dark. we can say he is the aizen of that world, with how everything always goes according to his plan. he may be a normal person in strength and just a silly person to others, but in the back, he can lead the plot to things he want, that's what i like about it.
just a reminder that this game is kinda dark... no, its a dark visual novel. especially their side story. bruh, they really dont care about their char well being. there are a lot of sad thing happen in the story, that i wont say, to avoid more spoiler. the story of season 1 is so so, since it's more of an introduction of the game's world. but, from season 2, where the main story really start, its really good. if you are a lore enthusiast player, you wont dissapointed by this game story.
if there's a let down in this section is, the fact that the story stage can become very hard to beat. so you cant speedrun things.
Gameplay
this game is an rts tower defense game. it's mechanic is easy to learn. but it might be take time before you can understand it very well, to master the mechanic. since it depends on the character you have and use. the game can become hard or easy depends with how you make your team comp.
you can take up to 8 char in each squad, a ship, and an operator. with char and ship have different type and role in it. everything is important to pay attention to. a good compotition is more important than placing more op char in a squad. so dont too focused in having more op char. it's all about tactic. each char cost, the placement, even a trivial thing such as timing can change the table greatly. you cant just all out in games like this.
the game is kinda meta mandatory. so you need to frequently keep up with the meta. but a good thing is, old char can still compete with the new char. even most of the meta char is an old char. if you know how to maximize your team comp, you still can beat any content. since the most important thing in this game is the equipment build.
now that's the problem. the equipment is the most important thing in the game, but the equipment grinding in this game is so god damn bad. the drop rate is suck, the stat rng gacha is suck. everything about the equipment system in this game is suck. because all about the equipment is grindy. it's recommended to have a guild, so that they will help you beat your raid boss. raid boss rewards you a lot of equipment. most player's equipment come from that.
Gacha
all i can say is, this is suck too. each banner have 150 pity for guarantee pull. but the event and the place to farm gacha resources is no near enough. heck, even we only get 200 gacha resources + 3 ticket each week. each 10 pull need 1500 for normal char banner and 2700 for awakened char banner. there's no fckin way it's enough. even though they often give free resources, but it usually not gacha resources. well, they often to give free ssr coupon too and free awakened coupon for big event like anniversary. they never disappoint when it comes to free stuff, but still, the gacha system is suck. you will need to skip most of the banner to just get enough gacha resources to get the char you want, especially for awakened banner. well, usually for normal char and operator banner, the rate up char will come out at 40-60 pull, but it wont happen at awakened banner. heck, you even only buy awakened banner gacha resources once a week(so 2700 a week), if we exclude real money spend here. so, it takes forever for you, just to get a single awakened unit...
another problem is, for awakened banner, they share pity and didnt reset when banner change. but for normal and operator banner... they counted differently each banner and reset if the banner ended.
Ost and Sound Effect
all i can say is... perfect. they did a great job at this one. they even released an ost about the story of each season. there are already 4 season. season 4 is still on going, so there are already 3 full song with lots of other bgm. it's a shame that i can only hear it in youtube outside of the game itself, since their music are not available in other platform.
it's so good that i still frequently listen to it until now. even though most of it is a sad song... the bgm that plays in the lobby, dorm, in the battle, are enjoyable too. they make different bgm for each interface. like for shop, they use this, for dorm they use this, for upgrade they use this. they are very dedicated at this.
Graphic and Visual
it has great 2d artstyle. the design and the art in this game are high quality. i]the visual in this game will satisfy your eyes. well... it has visual novel theme, so maybe its not that great for some of you.
the art and design for the char is lovely. they are all well made, even useless char like R and below rarity char, they still have good design. i kinda think, it such a waste.

this game really good as a visual novel game, but suck as a gacha game in general. very grindy. you can wasted a lot of time and get nothing. the gacha system is not that enjoyable too.
it's a shame that most of people left this game becuz of that. it's still have high playerbase at korea's server, but for global, its not.
